I love fall. It's one of my favorite seasons. The pasture is refreshed, green again from the rain. The leaves are beautifully changing color.
In late October, breeding season started on our farm. As daylight decreases in the fall, ewes go into heat. This means naturally lambs tend to born in the spring. Since sheep gestation is about 147 days (but can range from 138-159 days), we should have lambs arriving in mid-March to April 2017.
Now we can start dreaming about the fuzzy cute lambs and wait for their arrival.
